I don't really see that logic. You need software that can handle the tuner's signal. So, I need software that can understand the signal from the HDHomerun tuners.
I don't see why with other solutions the compatibility between your tuner and your NAS would change

Has anybody experience with the TV-Server included in MediaPortal 2?

I need a software that can handle the TV signal yes, but I also need the tuner recognized by the server with a USB TV tuner like my Hauppauge key and the TV Butler one. With HDHomerun it's different. :)

Not sure about this. I have an outstanding ticket, waiting for an answer for like 2 weeks.

What is the ticket about? Perhaps something that other members can help with?

I tested with my Hauppauge USB TV Tuner, with is not recognized on a DS213j, and TV Mosaic doesn't recognized it too. But I have no problem with my DS214, which recognize the TV Tuner.

TVHeadend is where you should all be going;

https://tvheadend.org/projects/tvheadend

Ignore the fact that it looks dead - its typical Open Source project with lots of activity on the code but no-one updating their website. I recommend using the linuxserver docker image;

https://docs.linuxserver.io/images/docker-tvheadend

Then use the PVR Live Android/Android TV App for the client.

Im finding it vastly superior to TV Mosaic anyway.
Well this sucks.... TV Headend is not available for Windows :(

I run the TV Headend client in LibreELEC on a Raspberry Pi (HDMI output)
But any platform that runs Kodi will work

My TV Headend server runs on a Synology NAS, here is the repo for that
https://synocommunity.com

It works fine with my HD Homerun Quatro, including the OTA EPG

If you want a cheaper solution you could run the server on another Raspberry Pi
This is what you need:

TVheadend status (for reference)
https://tvheadend.org/projects/tvheaden ... positories

Raspbian 10 "buster" (based on Debian) is the current official OS for Raspberry hardware
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raspbian

Here is the TVheadend server DEB install package for Raspbian:

tvheadend_4.3-1857~g221c29b40~raspbianbuster_armhf.deb
https://phillw.net/mark/incoming/deb_pa ... tvheadend/

If you have a bunch of USB tuners, you can do something like this
https://dirtyoptics.com/raspberry-pi-tv ... -tvheadend

possibly different linux kernel version

Thank you for your response. Perhaps a Raspberry Pi as a server is a good option. Or I should add a Synology NAS to the mix.

Any platform other than Windows, right?

My bad... You meant that any client that can run Kodi is fine. I read it as the server.
By the way: within a few days the TV Mosaic team has responded to my request to move the license.
