Can you, please, send the screenshots of the issue to our support e-mail. We will pick it up from there.rbueeler wrote: ↑Tue Sep 11, 2018 5:48 pmAlso for me it is much improved now (using Intel i7 8700 CPU). Even de-interlacing seems to be done in HW now. Thanks a lot for your efforts!
Could you remove the grey border around the picture (at left/right/bottom side) in full screen mode? I guess it is some artifact of the GUI which is not hidden properly.
Also when changing from full screen to the "GUI less" mode, I see some grey rectangle on the screen at the place where the window was before full screen mode. (size of "GUI less" mode is modified after full screen mode)

@Oberon
Did you guys tested 16582 on AMD CPU based clients with Radeon GPU, because I got BAD results on my wife's AMD Win10 Pro laptop (display resolution 1366x768) AND on my sons AMD Win7 x64 laptop (display resolution 1600x900).
Win10 Pro AMD laptop:
With 16582 picture freezes instantly and sound continues with HD channels (tested with Wifi AND wired connection), while VLC plays same HD channels with NO problems on Wifi and wired connections.
Win7-x64 AMD laptop:
16582 doesn't even start, while I see its process running in task manager.
Reverted back to 16509 on both laptops and all plays fine again.
Like I said before, 16582 works excellent on my server/HTPC with i5-6500 and GTX-1060, but not on my AMD based client devices in my household.

Re: (Closed) Improve video decoder on Windows client
no solution for a dedicated amd graphic card in sight?
Re: (Closed) Improve video decoder on Windows client
Added "Safe Mode" shortcut in a new build (16708/16709) to run TVMosaic desktop app without full video acceleration
Re: (Closed) Improve video decoder on Windows client
This is what I wanted to post:
You obviously did something more then what is mentioned in the changelog, because I have hardware acceleration on an i5-5250u with HD 6000 graphics where I previously had not.
Then I went back to make a screenshot of taskmanager with the GPU at work.....but..... it's gone. Now it is back at 70-80%. So sometimes it works, mostly not

Re: (Closed) Improve video decoder on Windows client
If you start tvmosaic.exe without any command line parameters, it falls back to video decoding without full gpu support (aka Safe Mode).muppets4 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 17, 2018 2:34 pm

To start TVMosaic in fully accelerated mode you need to add --gpu command line switch (tvmosaic.exe --gpu).
This is what both shortcuts do.
Re: (Closed) Improve video decoder on Windows client
there is no video acceleration with both of them....
edit: and now there is. Seems hit and mis. Nothing changed other then starting it up 100 times
edit 2: other channel, gone again
edit 3: and it does not return. Pity
Re: (Closed) Improve video decoder on Windows client
In normal TVMosaic mode with video decoding, switching to full screen results in black screen with sound only
Tested with Nvidia GTX-1060 6GB, driver version 416.34 (latest !)

Re: (Closed) Improve video decoder on Windows client
For me it is working as expected using iGPU of Intel i7 8700 processor. Normal mode uses video acceleration with smooth video playback. Safe mode does not use video acceleration with not smooth video playback.
