(Closed) Channel Numbering
(Closed) Channel Numbering
The system to number Channels in DVB Logic was much much easier than TV Mosaic - and if a channel was added and we wanted to move all channels back, we didn't have to do so manually (it would simply add 1 to any channel coming after the newly added channel).
Any chance something similar can be added? I find numbering channels the easiest way to order them.

Re: Channel Numbering
I also miss the automatic channel numbering.
Re: Channel Numbering
Just for me to remember how it worked.
There was an auto numbering button, which has assigned all channels automatic numbers, starting from the (highest available number + 1) and increasing by 1 in alphabetic order.
If none of the channels had channel numbers then automatic numbering starts from 1.
Correct? Anything else?

Would the algorithm, described below, make your life easier?
Re: Channel Numbering
Hallo Oberon
Ok, sorting is usually done once, but then you forgot one, add it, assign the number and now its double and you have to change all the following ones manually. Previously, the following channels were independently numbered consecutively and the matter was done.
But also important: TV Mosaic runs much more stable and faster than DVBLink.
All the Best

Re: Channel Numbering
Indeed, channel maintenance, like adding new channels in between already existing channel numbers is, sorry to say it, a pain in the A.. in TVMosaic, for reasons above.holzfred wrote: ↑Wed Jul 04, 2018 2:37 pmOk, sorting is usually done once, but then you forgot one, add it, assign the number and now its double and you have to change all the following ones manually. I also miss that DVBLink feature, that channel numbers are shifted on demand, when inserting new channels.
For users with multiple sources which changes now and then, this DVBLink feature is a Time Saver in channel management.
