default epg (from tv source) settings?

Post by waterwave » Sat May 04, 2019 5:49 am

Have a nice day everyone.

I have a question. I noticed the following in the log file of my hdhomerun 4 tuner device (tunerip:port website):

21-22 times, always, every 6 hours.
I suspect the TVmosaic should be resolved to not show it because I really think it is superfluous. (setup - epg - sources - default epg). My question is, could it be turned off in the log or could it not be solved so that the default epg part also has a setup switch?

Default EPG in your case is EPG from the stream. TVMosaic needs to scan stream for this EPG data.
What is exactly the issue that you have?

Would I have wondered if the lines in the above log can be displayed?
So not to display the 4 tuner device. Or is it not possible?

Most probably, somewhere inside the HDHomeRun settings.

There's no such thing there. This is done by the tv mosaic program every 6 hours for the hdhomerun device.

If you do not want EPG to be downloaded from hdhomerun box to tv mosaic turn it off, I have the same logs on hdhomerun device log page

Tho It would be nice to be able to decide whenever I want to pull egp data and not every X/360minutes (static locked) amount only.(most preferred be able to set schedules times your self like 6am in the morning and 22pm etc...

Would also be nice to see a check before tv mosaic starts to pull EPG, let say, if all 4 tuners are occupied, wait another 30 minutes and try again until a tuner is ready.
