I am sure you will love the shield. I have one and it's an amazing piece of tech. Good luck.

Re: New client hardware required for TV Mosaic

Hi, they are running Lineage OS 15.1 which is a third party android version of 8.1 Oreo. I think the reason is a lack of memory rather than the OS. Sorry for the delay in response. You have two options as I see it. Get Android TV boxes (Shield, Mi Box, etc.) and side load the non-TV based Android a...

Re: New client hardware required for TV Mosaic

I have never used a Nexus player but I know they have been around a while. What version of Android TV are yours running? That could be part of the crashing issue if the OS is too old. Also nearly any normal Android app can be sideloaded on Android TV. If you sideload an app though, you may need to u...

Re: Best Client for Samsung TV

Some Samsung TV's run Android and if yours does, you can either use the native TV Mosaic client or Kodi. If your Samsung TV runs Tizen OS instead of Android, then you are going to have to buy an Android based box (such as MiBox or NVidia Shield) or Amazon FireTV Stick/Box and then the same two choic...

Re: Record and watch a different channel?

If you have 3 connections you should be able to record and watch any combination of 3 channels. I use an OTA antenna and tuner card, not IPTV, so I don't know anything about setting them up in TVM though.

Re: (xmltv) EPG websites, services and links that work with TVMosaic and TVMosaic Live!

FREE EPG data from zap2it.com or tvGuide.com for US and maybe other countries. I don't know which countries this works in but it for sure works in the US. 1. Go to Zap2xml and download zap2xml-install.exe (windows) or zap2xml.pl (non-windows). You can find it about half way down the page, just below...

Re: How to add data to EPG?

AFAIK there is no way to do this with TVM either through the interface or the API. Since you know C# though, it would be possible to use a free EPG service to get the bulk of the EPG data in XMLTV format (you can use zap2xml with a FREE zap2it or FREE tvGuide account and I can provide instructions f...

Re: API add_schedule command

I don't use C# but I have done this with both Classic ASP and JavaScript and have it working in both code bases. I am not 100% sure what your issue is but I have some possible tips. First, with your POST line: POST /mobile/?command=add_schedule& xml_param=<schedule> It appears that this would ca...

Re: New HTCP setup

I wasn't aware of this being possible in the Mi Box :) So, I just did it from Kodi. This morning my daughter started some YouTube videos and the sound was very glitchy. Restarted the device, then after booting up it didn't respond to the remote. Pulled the power plug and then it worked again. That ...
