External access
External access
I'm struggeling somewhat with external access. I have set the port forwarding on my Asus router. However, neither TV Mosaic nor Kodi can find the address at port 9270.
What am I doing wrong?
Edit: I have rebooted the router as well
Edit 2: Hit the "check port forwarding" and it doesn't seem to be forwarded.

Re: External access
Perhaps a stupid question, but have you stopped and restarted the TVMosaic service or rebooted your TVMosaic server, after you had enabled the port forward setting in TVMosaic Network Settings and saved that changes ?
If you have UPnP enabled on your Asus router, TVMosaic should be listed in your routers UPnP Service List. You don't have to setup anything else on your router concerning port forwarding for TVMosaic, when you have set port forwarding in TVMosaic Network Settings.

Re: External access
During the installation I have enabled port forwarding in the settings. To be on the safe side I have just rebooted the server. After that it still doesn't work.
I think it is strange that I should enable port forwarding on the machine. I have enabled it on the router. Previously with DVBLink I was able to go to port 8100 and 39876 without any issue. I have set the port forwarding to the 9270 in exactly the same way.
Still the Mosaic app shows the port to be closed. And I cannot connect to it from outside my network using my WAN IP address

Re: External access
You also need to forward 9271 to receive stream.
Re: External access
I forwarded 9271 as well. Still the same result:
Base stream port (9270): Closed
HTTP stream port (9271): Open
I want to be able to schedule recordings when I am away. Worst case I can use Teamviewer to take control of my server and do it like that, but I think this should work as well

Re: External access
Ahum… what helps is not making a typing error when typing the IP adres
With the TV Mosaic app I can now access my server when connected through LTE. With Kodi not yet. Will have to check.

Re: External access
LOL
Seems to me your Asus router needs some extra setup to handle port forwarding automatically by UPnP, because you still have to manually setup port forwarding on router.
My TP-Link router automatically maps the TVMosaic ports to its UPnP service list without manual mapping. What is your Asus router model ?

Re: External access
It's an asus rt-ac66u
I'm used to the requirement to setup a port forwarding rule. And actually I'm happy with that. Gives me the feeling I'm in control

Re: External access
I understand, so I guess that you have than disabled UPnP if you want to be in control, so that port forwarding wasn't done automatically.

Re: External access
I'm not doing anything with uPNP. That is the sort of network shares where you can keep the position where you were, right?
Still Kodi doesn't work over the external port, but I don't really mind.
