Diseqc commands for motorised dishes

Post by Homer » Sat Mar 03, 2018 10:23 am

Hi, I will have a look at this over the weekend.

You may remember that I got motorised dish Diseqc codes working with DVBLink. Do you know if this new software works with Diseqc ?

At the moment mini-disecq, diseqc1.0 and diseqc 1.1 are supported.
Motorized dish commands (diseqc 1.2) are on our todo list, but will not be implemented in TVMosaic 1.0 release.

Hi Oberon,

Thank you for the quick response. I will wait for a later version with Diseqc 1.2.

Well, I couldn't wait

I have tested it with my TBS5990 and TBS6280 from the server in the garage to my main client pc, and it was able to tune and view channels on S/S2 and T2. Seems very snappy on channel changes too.

The installation on the server was easy enough, and I initially set it all up there. Then I wondered how to set it up on the client pc. Oh, you just install the same software, and select the networked server at the top of the screen. Easy enough when you know how to do it

Anyway, I've reset it all for DVBLink, as the Missus uses that throughout the house. If there is anything that you need us to test here please let me know.

:)

Yes, it is the same software, which is installed on a network PCs to watch live/recorded TV. You just use only a player part then.
If you use other software - say Kodi - on a network PC, then you do not need to install TVMosaic there at all.

Hi Homer,
could you please share the way how do you calculate the DiseqC codes for DVBLink? I tried several ways and it was never running. It would be great to use some kind of Excel sheet with automatic calculation. The DiseqC calculator website on Moteck doesn't work anymore.
Thank you.

Hi Vlada, it's already there. See my DVBLink post "How to calculate Diseqc codes for motorised dish" in "DVBLink TV Source". It's a sticky near the top.
Let me know if you can't download the Excel files (on the DVBLink post) as I think they were on Dropbox.

If anybody needs this Excel file, send me a message with your email address and I will send you a copy. With a bit of luck, TV-Mosaic will get Diseqc 1.2 or USALs, then this will no longer be needed.
Now is there a place in TV-Mosaic to put full Diseqc codes yet :geek:
