Transport streams are inherently not good for random access due to their internal structure. Because jumps work in time domain, TVMosaic converts them into space domain using average bitrate. As a consequence, streams with variable bit rate. suffer the most from this technique.
The proper handling should include indexing recordings, which is on our todo, but it is difficult to say if and when it will be done.

I have this inaccurate searching behavior with the Android app. On both Android TV and Android Tablet. For some streams, the position jumps back past the original position when doing FF. It breaks also the new resume playback option, which does not work because of this.
The same streams can be FF and REW fine on the Smart TV over DLNA. I wonder how the Smart TV can do this, on contrary of the TV-Mosaic Android app. I think now special index is needed, just do the search using different method thank currently done.

Hi Oberon,

Is there any update on this issue please?
