UK - DVB-T/T2 rescanning for new channels ?

Post by freddy » Fri Mar 15, 2019 9:34 am

Hello

TV Mosaic Plus version 17217 running on a Synology DS716+II

I have two HDHomeRun CONNECT QUATRO DVB-T2 Tuners (ie 8 receivers in total, across two devices).

All working fine.

I have found it is good practise to occasionally undertake a full rescan of the Channels available to identify new/relocated/deleted channels.

I have tried the following steps (connecting to the TV Mosaic Server via a Linux Client)

Setup

Channels

Top Tuner - Scan

Choose one of TV Broadcast Standards - DVB-T/T2

Scan only free channels - yes

Choose Country - United Kingdom

Choose your provider - DVB-T/T2/UK (regular scan)

Channels of this provider have been scanned previously. Results of the last scan are applied

Is it possible to undertake a fresh full rescan without removing the tuners (and if I did will I lose all existing scheduled future recordings).

To close I should add that the original tuner (a Homerun Dual HD tuner) which was used for the original scan is no longer present in the system ie the current channel setup has been cascaded down from this original tuner to the new Quad tuners)

Would appreciate some advice.

Cheers

The answer to my own question appears to be that there is a reload button showing to the right of the individual tuner name (next to the x delete button).

Selecting the top tuner resulted in a full rescan.

Must have not been wearing my glasses when looking last time ...
