Is SSL working with Synology NAS?

Post by Thun » Fri Apr 05, 2019 11:59 pm

I got my NAS working with https with a certifikat from Let's Encrypt, and can connect to it with https just fine.
I have then exported the certifikat and gotten 3 files cert.pem chain.pem and privkey.pem, I have tryed to combine them into a file called localserver.pem in this way

-----BEGIN RSA PRIVATE KEY-----
(Your Private Key: privkey.pem)
-----END RSA PRIVATE KEY-----
-----BEGIN CERTIFICATE-----
(Your Primary SSL certificate: cert.pem)
-----END CERTIFICATE-----
-----BEGIN CERTIFICATE-----
(Your chain certificate: chain.pem)
-----END CERTIFICATE-----

I have placed that file into directory
/volume1/TVMosaic/common/

I have portforwarded 9370/9371 on router

But I cannot get it to connect, I have tryed it on iOS and windows and browser with https://<ip>:9370/mobile
but it all fails.

Is it not working on NAS yet? or am I doing something wrong, I dont have much exp in this feild so I am trying the best, from what I can from searching on google.

Kind regards Thun

Wait for the next release, it's still WIP.

Further, all our clients still need some work to truly enable ssl connection.
It is on our todo list for the short term work.
DVBLink server 6.0.0 build14499, DVBLink TVSource 6.0.0 build14061, DVBLink for IPTV build 13107
TVMosaic server build 17051, Kodi 18.0 (Git:20190128-d81c34c465), Win10 Pro x64 1809 build17763.262
