TVMosaic addon for LibreELEC

Post by awiouy » Tue Mar 27, 2018 11:36 pm

I have just installed TVMosaic on LibreELEC.
I runs flawlessly and looks amazing.

However, installation is manual and complicated for less experienced users.
I therefore propose to wrap TVMosaic into an addon.

The first step would be to change TVMosaic to use standard directories, namely:
/storage/.kodi/addons/service.tvmosaic, aka $ADDON_DIR/service.tvmosaic, for the program
/storage/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/service.tvmosaic, aka $ADDON_HOME/service.tvmosaic, for the data

The second step would be to write a shell script to migrate existing program/data to standard directories.
Would it be more complicated than just moving existing directories, if they exist, to standard directories?
Are /storage/tvmosaic and /storage/tvmosaic.data coded anywhere else than in incl and tvmosaic_configuration.xml?

Once this is settled, I can write the addon and propose submit it at LibreELEC.
An addon for RPi2 would be compatible with other LibreELEC systems, eg, Amlogic.

I could do this for LibreELEC for x86_64, too, if TVMosaic exists for it.

Thank you for your attention.
