Kodi PVR manager stuck at loading channels from clients

Post by jerrican » Sun Jun 10, 2018 2:48 pm

I have upgraded from DVBLink server to TV Mosaic on my Synology NAS DSM 6.2.
I have purchased TVButler and TVMosiac Plus.
I had it working allright on my Intel NUC Mediaplayer with Libreelec and Kodi, thru setting TVMosiac on my windows desktop(working on the TVMosiac on my Synology)
I noticed though that I had scanned all Ziggo channels and not only the free ziggo channels.
Hence, within the setting on TVMosaic (setup via desktop) I removed the scan and started a new scan for only the free channels and saved it.
After that the PVR DVB client addon in Kodi gives the message "loading channels from clients" and it is stuck there and will not load.
ports 9270 and 9271 on my router are open (checked via TVMosaic)
watching the channels via the TVMosiac on my desktop works fine.
I have already removed the addon in Kodi and installed it again, but no change.

Could it be that somehow the kodi addon is trying to look for the old and the new scan??

You just need to delete TV#.db and EPG#.db files inside the UserData folder:

Just to add - which may be helpful to others
I had the same problem on just one of my several vero osmc clients

Oberon's suggestion also worked like a charm

However - I struggled to find the said TV#.db EPG#.db files

the link to the Kodi wiki saying where the userdata folder is is frankly unhelpful - it doesnt mention OSMC
if you use putty assuming your client machine is servig SSH then all you see is $home
ls shows /osmc - so you move there and all you see is Movies.Music .pictures . TVshows
the key folder .Kodi is hidden
My advice is to use Filezilla which shows the full folder structure

Oh and furthermore the files to be deleted are not in the root of userdata they are here

/home/osmc/.kodi/userdata/Database

Hope this saves someone else a load of time
