TVMosaic and OSCam with LibreELEC

Post by awiouy » Tue Mar 27, 2018 10:38 pm

Hello,

I just installed TVMosaic on LibreELEC for RPi2 to use a TVButler.
It works and the TVMosaic interface is amazing. Congratulations!

But now I it this problem: how should I configure TVMosaic to decrypt channels with OSCam?
I searched this forum and the Wiki, and I only found information and files for x86_64 devices (dvbjcam and confused files).

Q1: Can TVMosaic on LibreELEC for RPi use OSCam to decrypt channels?
Q2: How should I configure TVMosaic to do that?

Thank you in advance for any help.

Do you think that RPi is powerful enough to run channel decryption?

A RPi3 decrypts HD channels with TVHeadeand/OSCam and an Anysee tuner. So yes.

We have added dvbjcam compatibility for Raspberry Pi in the new TVMosaic build (16036), which is available for download.

Wow, that was fast!
Can you also provide me with instructions to configure it. The links I found were not clear about how to populate .conf and . readers files.

If you have experience with acamd on windows then it should be pretty much straightforward to switch to dvbjcam.

I cannot really go into a lot of details on this forum (I also do not have much experience with softcam), but this link should help you:
http://forum.dvblogic.com/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=31946

Also, there is an official thread on sat4all.nl (although in Dutch), which is moderated/answered by the author.

And, there is a topic already on this forum, where people who actually use it can help you:
viewtopic.php?f=12&t=40

The plugin itself can be downloaded from our wiki.

It works, thanks!

I will write a wiki page how to configure TVMosaic with OSCam on LibreELEC and write an addon.

Is there any way to automatically remove service/undecryptable channels?

Good to hear it worked for you.
What do you mean by automatically removing service/undecryptable channels?

As for libreElec install - in the root of openelec tvmosaic installation there is a script install.sh, which tales care of the complete install. You can see exactly what is copied where and what is done. Please, let me know if you need any assistance. I will be glad to help.

In tvh there is an option to map only usable channels, ie neither service (eg humax, cisco...), nor undecryptable channels. Does that correspond to free channels in TVMosaic?

By the way, TVMosaic works fine with an anysee tuner, but it seems to start too early for TVButler. To watch TV channels, I need to recycle (stop/start) TVMosaic after a LibreeLEC reboot. I will send a log when I get back to my system (might take a while due to ishtar).

Anyway, I am really impressed with TVMosaic, and look forward to making it a seamless installation for LibreELEC.
