Re: Best low power client?

There should be a way to sideload the TVM app on the TV as long as it is an actual Android TV or even one of the new Fire TV's. I think it should work on specific Samsung TV with Android, Sony, and Toshiba TV's as well as some of the cheaper Android TV brands. I don't think it will work on LG's (las...

Re: Android TV client

Press the Select button once to bring up the Pause/Play bar, then (with the Pause/Play bar still displayed) press and hold UP for a couple of seconds.

Re: TVMosaic (NOT Live) for Amazon FireTV

That's a typical bummer from Amazon, I wonder when they will eventually get sued for that apparent garden walling. Anyway, thanks for the advise, will use the Live app instead then, not too many compromises. You could always get it from Google Play on an Android device. and then side load it to the...

Re: New HTCP setup

You do not need a good video card to do transcoding quickly. You may, of course, but Intel CPU generation 6 or newer will do the job equally good. I did not know that. My server is running a Xeon E3-1225 v3 which is Haswell (4th gen) based and while it does do encoding it was very slow until I drop...

Re: New HTCP setup

You didn't mention if you do any transcoding of the recorded files or not. If you do, I don't really see any way to reduce power since to do transcoding quickly and efficiently you need a good Video card, with means a desktop style PC and all the power requirements that go with it. If you do not do ...

Re: TV Mosaic Android App recording

Yes you can record a show currently in progress, BUT you have to go back to the Guide page to do it. So you lose the 1 or 2 seconds that it takes to exit back out to the guide, select the show, then select record. On a side note, you didn't need to sideload TV-M to you AFTV Stick. The TV-M app is av...

Re: Android app - which functions?

I don't do transcoding via TV-M myself, but from what I understand that is done via the SendTo feature, so..."maybe" is the best I can offer. I actually use mcebuddy2 to transcode and remove commercials. It does this automatically as soon as a recording finishes.

Re: Android app - which functions?

You can:
  • View the Program Guide.
  • Watch Live TV
  • Add Recording Schedules
  • View Recording Schedules
  • Edit/Manage Recording Schedules
  • Watch Recorded Shows
  • Delete Recorded Shows
  • Use the SendTo feature for Recorded Shows
I may have missed some features. It is pretty full featured though.

Re: Recently found out about TV-Mosaic

As far as I know the only way to record live TV from Hulu is using the Hulu Cloud DVR.
