Re: (Partially closed) No Web Access to Moсaic

I actually built my own partial web access using Javascript with an ASP wrapper running on IIS. I also built a PHP wrapper for Apache in case I ever released it. It does NOT allow server configurations (yet), but it does allow viewing EPG, scheduling recordings, modifying schedules, and watching rec...

Re: Smart TV app

I am in no way employed by or affiliated with TV Mosaic so do NOT consider this an "official" answer, but my GUESS would be no. The reason is Samsung and LG use totally custom Operating Systems for their TV's (which is why I don't buy them no matter the price or how good the picture looks). Samsung ...

Re: best choise linux or windows

It sounds to me like you have your answer based on your own testing on your own hardware. Personally I run the TVM server on Windows but run the clients on Android based boxes (FireTV Boxes and an NVidia Shield). Really though I would imagine that performance would have more to do with what hardware...

Re: New HTCP setup

As far as I can see now: live TV does keep the machine awake, playing recorded TV doesn't. Strange, because I think both are played through the same TV Mosaic PVR add on in Kodi. Well at least we are halfway there. I would have thought that the constant use of the network card with the prior settin...

Re: New HTCP setup

So what happens if you leave both the top two checked but NOT the Magic Packets?

Re: New HTCP setup

For the wake up issue, have you looked into "Wake on lan"? I think this should do what you want. https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/wake-on-lan-windows/ Yes, I have looked into that. Let's say the machine goes to sleep after 20 minutes of idle time. What happens then is the following: Machine is awake I...

Re: New HTCP setup

First I want to apologize, I was quite tired when I made that last post and now realize I repeated myself a bit from earlier posts. For some reason if TV Mosaic starts a recording the machine is woken up and stays awake for the duration of that recording. However, if I want to use the tuners to watc...

Re: New HTCP setup

Thank you for getting back to that. A dedicated Windows machine running as a server for all my media, TV Mosaic and my tuners comes more and more to mind. @Maverickz: What do you see as the main advantage of the Fire TV box over an Android TV box? And what type of tuners do you use? I have had my F...

Re: Remove commercials

If I get the remove commercials to work...? You can get commercial removal to somewhat work, but don't ever expect it to be 100%, 100% of the time. You will have to live with it sometimes leaving in some commercials (usually ads for other shows on the network) and occasionally cutting out some smal...
