Re: TVmosaic stability

Thanks! I have not thought of that possibility. However, there are some differences: - I (only) have two identical tuners, which share the CI/CAM. Both the tuners and the CI are made by Digital Devices. - I have two logfiles from just after the problem occurs. Both have several [E] flagged messages,...

Re: TVmosaic stability

I have one CAM. Normally I have no problem decoding two channels at the same time on two tuners using the single CAM.

Just after a reboot, I can test everything and everything works. Only after some time (several hours, I don't know) the problem occurs.

TVmosaic stability

I am running TVmosaic with Kodi as frontend now for some time. I still have stability problems, much like the ones I reported in DVBlink. DVBlogic has acknowledged my problems, but until now, nothing notable has happened. My most notable problem is as follows: I am watching a channel fro some time a...

Re: Log file preservation

No response yet. Tonight it happened again. We were watching one channel and (of course at a crucial moment in the show) another channel was supposed to start recording. Kodi froze. I killed Kodi and started it again. No response from TVmosaic. The show must go on, other members of my household were...

Log file preservation

It appears that TVmosaic, when it starts up, deletes any existing old log files, before creating new ones. This is a rather crude way of doing things. In my case, it seriously stands in the way solving problems. So please, in stead of deleting old log files, rename them to something useful, for inst...

Re: Local (off-line) monitor

I don't doubt anything you say, but I still would like the client functionality for the monitor builtin in the TVmosaic GUI. Just like in DVBlink.

Re: Local (off-line) monitor

Yes, that is what I figured. But again, what was wrong with the way it was done in DVBlink?

Re: Local (off-line) monitor

Well, although I cannot image that you are interested in what I am watching, the fact that there is a link (potentially) open to you, while I am monitoring what my system is doing, could (potentially) be used to gather information from me. I simply fail to see what was wrong with the way it was done...

Re: Local (off-line) monitor

Sorry, but I do not find that a strong argument. In my opinion, a web browser is also an application.

What about privacy?

Local (off-line) monitor

It seems that the Monitor function of the configurator utility is only available via a web page from TV-mosaic. I would like to have a local utility which can be used without an Internet connection. In DVBLink the monitor utility was local, only requiring a connection between the server and the moni...
