Re: what is a client, what a server?

I was not aware that there is a server and that it should be running. And I am not sure if the intention is that it is running by default.

Re: what is a client, what a server?

Maybe a stupid question, but have you read what I wrote? The local server was not running and therefore the local connection did not work.
I was not aware that there is a local server.

Re: what is a client, what a server?

Currently I have tvmosaic in my NAS as the server and a client in linux. That means that I can use the tv-stick in my linux desktop and the linux version of tvmosaic can access it? How? It always wants the ip address of a server. Oh, I just found a /usr/local/bin/tvmosaic/tvmosaic_server. But it doe...

what is a client, what a server?

On my synology nas I have tvmosaic running, I'm sure this is a server. On linux, I have tvmosaic running, this is a client, but also a server? Or is there a separate server for linux? How can I access a TV stick (292e) on my local linux desktop?

having a local and a remote TV stick at the same time?

Is it possible to have a TV stick in the local miniPC (HTPC) for watching live TV, and delegate recordings to the TV stick in the NAS? In detail: I have running Kodi on a miniPC (HTPC) for live TV. A TVButler stick is in the miniPC. The other TVButler is in my Synology NAS. Now if I record something...

show available channels while recording

I'm using a tv butler usb stick as the receiver, and a intel nuc with ubuntu as the client. When I'm recording a movie, I can only switch to channels on the same frequency as the recording channel, because "tv butler" only has got one receiver. But tvmosaic does not show me which channels are availa...

show available channels while recording

If I'm recording a broadcast and I have only 1 stick, I can watch only broadcasts on the same transponder. So it would be nice if the TV guide would show all the channels on the same transponder like the current recording one.

How get Dolby/Ac3 sound?

I have a TVMosaic client running on ubuntu on a Intel NUC with S/PDIF (toslink) output to a dolby amplifier.
Ubuntu can do AC3/Dolby, this is no problem.
But it seems that the sound of TV programs broadcasted in AC3 5.1 is not passed thru?
